Last summer Darlene contacted me with questions about birth photography and whether it was right for her or not. When she first messaged me she apologized for all the questions she had, I quickly assured her that it was fine and that she should ask LOTS of questions and I was happy to answer them. She set up an appointment to meet and we hit it off right away!
Fast forward to a warm November night and it was time! Darlene and Darryl headed to Boundary Trails Hospital at 1:31 am and texted to let me know they were on their way. I waited for a bit since I am only 6-7 minutes away and they had a 45 minute drive. I arrived at Boundary Trails 5 minutes after they did and went straight up to Labour and Delivery.
Darlene was sitting calmly on the bed while her midwife took some notes on contractions and how she was feeling. Once done, the midwife started to set up the birth pool which would allow Darlene to labour more comfortably.
Once the birth pool was ready to go, Darlene took full advantage of it. Darryl remained by her side, lovingly supporting her through each contraction.
Labour progresses quickly and the midwife explains to Darlene that she can push when she feels ready. It's baby time! With just a few pushes Darlene and Darryl welcome their third child, Jayce into their family! Born at 4:33 am on November 15, 2016! Welcome little one!
Congratulations Darlene and Darryl! Your family has grown by one more! His big brother and sister are going to be so excited! Thank you so much for allowing me to share some of the images from your Birth Story, I am so honored to have been there to capture this special day for you both!
