True love always finds a way! Vermille and Eli met in grade school in the Philippines but became separated as they grew older and finished high school. They had a brief meeting a few years later at a funeral, but the timing was not right as Vermille's family was moving to Canada. They kept in touch and eventually 4 years later Vermille went back to the Philippines to marry her sweetheart. Vermille returned to Canada without Eli because of paperwork that needed to be done – but a little less than a year later he was able to join Vermille in Canada to start their new lives together and build a family.
Baby Aiden was anxious to meet his family and arrived a few weeks ahead of “schedule”. I was to meet Vermille and Eli on the weekend but baby Aiden had other plans! Vermille let me know she was in the early stages of labour Friday morning as she headed to Boundary Trails Health Center. I joined them later than evening. When I arrived at the hospital Eli was at Vermille's side comforting her and helping her focus through each contraction. Baby Aiden made his appearance earth side and met his family at 9:08pm on May 20th, 2016!
I am truly honored to have been asked to come into their birth space to document Aiden's birth story, thank you Vermille and Eli!
